Important — please read. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of chain.wtf, its subdomains, applications and related interfaces (together, the "Interface"), and your interaction, through the Interface, with the chain.wtf protocol (the "Protocol"). By accessing the Interface or interacting with the Protocol, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Interface or the Protocol.
Summary (not legally binding)
This summary is provided for convenience only. The full Terms below control.
- chain.wtf is self-custodial. You wager directly from your own wallet through smart contracts on the Base blockchain. chain.wtf never takes deposits and never holds your funds.
- Every wager and every outcome is recorded on-chain and can be independently verified by anyone.
- Once a wager is confirmed on-chain it is final. It cannot be cancelled, reversed or refunded — by you, by chain.wtf or by anyone else.
- chain.wtf cannot alter outcomes. Game logic and outcome generation live on the blockchain, not on our servers.
- The Interface is a visual layer. If what you see on screen ever differs from what the blockchain recorded, the blockchain is correct.
- Questions or problems: support@chain.wtf.
1. About chain.wtf
1.1 chain.wtf is a decentralized, self-custodial wagering protocol deployed on the Base blockchain. It offers casino-style games, sports betting markets, player-versus-player ("PvP") games and prediction markets (collectively, the "Games" or "Products").
1.2 The Protocol consists of publicly verifiable smart contracts and supporting infrastructure, including a decentralized verifiable random function ("VRF") and a trusted execution environment ("TEE") oracle, which together generate and record outcomes on-chain (the "Fairness Infrastructure").
1.3 The Interface is a website and application layer that lets you read data from, and submit transactions to, the Protocol. The Interface does not itself execute wagers, generate outcomes or hold funds. It is a window onto the blockchain.
1.4 References to "chain.wtf", "we", "us" and "our" in these Terms refer to chain.wtf as the operator of the Interface and publisher of the Protocol. References to "you" and "your" refer to the person accessing the Interface or interacting with the Protocol.
2. Acceptance and changes
2.1 These Terms form a binding agreement between you and chain.wtf. They incorporate our Privacy Policy, any game-specific rules published on the Interface, and any promotion-specific terms (together, the "Additional Terms"). If there is a conflict, the Additional Terms control for the specific matter they address; otherwise these Terms control.
2.2 You accept these Terms by doing any of the following: connecting a wallet to the Interface, creating a wallet through an embedded wallet provider offered on the Interface, submitting a transaction to the Protocol through the Interface, or otherwise accessing or using the Interface.
2.3 Your wallet address is your identity on the Protocol. Any username, profile, statistics or settings you create on the Interface are a convenience layer associated with your wallet address; they are not an account that holds funds, and chain.wtf never holds funds on your behalf.
2.4 We may amend these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on the Interface with a new "Last updated" date. Amendments take effect on posting. Your continued use after that date is acceptance of the amended Terms. It is your responsibility to review the Terms from time to time.
2.5 These Terms may be translated into other languages for convenience. The English version governs in the event of any inconsistency.
3. Eligibility
3.1 You may use the Interface and the Protocol only if all of the following are true:
(a) you are at least 18 years old, or the legal age for gambling in the jurisdiction from which you access the Interface, whichever is higher;
(b) you have full legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement;
(c) you are not located in, resident of, or a citizen of a Restricted Jurisdiction (defined in Section 4);
(d) you are not a person, or acting on behalf of a person, subject to sanctions administered by the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United Nations or any other applicable authority, and you are not located in a country or territory subject to comprehensive sanctions;
(e) you are not currently self-excluded from gambling, whether through chain.wtf or through any other operator or register;
(f) you do not consider yourself to have a gambling problem;
(g) online wagering of the kind offered through the Protocol is lawful in your jurisdiction; and
(h) you are using the Interface and the Protocol for your own personal, non-commercial entertainment and not on behalf of any other person.
3.2 It is your sole responsibility to determine whether your use of the Interface and the Protocol is lawful where you are, and to use them only from jurisdictions where doing so is legal. chain.wtf makes no representation that the Products are lawful in any particular jurisdiction. Accessing the Interface from a place where such use is unlawful is a breach of these Terms and is entirely at your own risk.
3.3 You agree to comply with all laws, regulations and rules that apply to you in connection with your use of the Interface and the Protocol, including gambling, financial, sanctions, anti-money-laundering, data and tax laws of your jurisdiction of residence, citizenship and physical location. chain.wtf bears no responsibility for your failure to do so, and you are solely liable for any consequences of it.
3.4 We may, but are not obliged to, take technical steps to assess eligibility — including geolocation, IP analysis, device signals and on-chain analysis — and to restrict access to the Interface accordingly. We may also request information from you where we reasonably believe we are required to verify eligibility, and may restrict Interface access pending such verification. Any attempt to circumvent these measures (including through VPNs, proxies, or providing false information) is a breach of these Terms.
4. Restricted Jurisdictions
4.1 The Interface is not offered to, and must not be used by, persons located in, resident of, or citizens of any jurisdiction designated by chain.wtf as restricted (each a "Restricted Jurisdiction").
4.2 The current list of Restricted Jurisdictions is published separately in this section of the Interface and forms part of these Terms. Where no jurisdiction is listed, no jurisdiction has yet been designated as restricted under this Section; this does not affect your obligations under Section 3 to use the Interface only where it is lawful and to comply with all applicable laws.
4.3 chain.wtf may designate, add or remove Restricted Jurisdictions at any time without notice, including in response to legal or regulatory developments, and any such change takes effect on publication. It is your responsibility to check the list before each use.
4.4 The restriction applies to your physical location at the time of access as well as to your residence and citizenship. A citizen of a permitted jurisdiction who is physically located in a Restricted Jurisdiction is restricted.
Restricted Jurisdictions (current list):
None designated at this time. This list will be updated here as jurisdictions are restricted.
5. Self-custody: no deposits, no balances, no custody
5.1 chain.wtf never takes deposits. There is no chain.wtf wallet, balance, ledger or account in which your funds are held. At no point do your assets pass into the possession, custody or control of chain.wtf.
5.2 Every wager is executed directly from a wallet that you control. When you place a wager, your wallet signs a transaction that transfers the wagered amount to a smart contract on the Base blockchain. If the wager wins, the smart contract transfers the payout to your wallet. chain.wtf is not an intermediary in this flow.
5.3 Because chain.wtf never holds your funds, chain.wtf cannot:
(a) freeze, seize, hold, move, recover or return your assets;
(b) reverse, cancel or undo a transaction you have signed;
(c) restore assets lost through a compromised wallet, a lost seed phrase, a mistaken transaction, or a transfer to the wrong address; or
(d) act as a bank, custodian, escrow agent, payment processor, money transmitter or financial institution of any kind.
5.4 You are solely responsible for your wallet, private keys, seed phrases, signing devices and any authentication method used to access them. Anyone with access to your keys can transact as you. chain.wtf will never ask for your private keys or seed phrase.
5.5 If you access the Interface through an embedded, social-login or third-party wallet service, that wallet is controlled by you and chain.wtf does not hold its keys. The security and recovery of that wallet are governed by the provider's terms, not by chain.wtf.
6. Provable fairness and independent verification
6.1 Outcomes for Games on the Protocol are generated by the Fairness Infrastructure and recorded on the Base blockchain. Randomness is produced by a decentralized VRF and/or attested by a TEE oracle, and the result is committed on-chain together with the wager it resolves.
6.2 Every wager, outcome, payout and settlement is a public, immutable blockchain record. Anyone — including you, and including third parties with no relationship to chain.wtf — can independently verify any wager and its result using a public block explorer and the verification tools and documentation published on the Interface.
6.3 chain.wtf cannot alter outcomes. The game mathematics (including odds, payout tables and house edge) and the outcome-generation process are executed by the smart contracts and the Fairness Infrastructure, not by chain.wtf's servers. chain.wtf has no mechanism to select, influence, re-roll, suppress, delay or modify any outcome, whether in your favour or against you.
6.4 The rules, odds, payout tables and house edge for each Game are encoded in the applicable smart contracts. Where the Interface displays these figures, it does so as a convenience; the on-chain values are authoritative.
7. The Interface, the on-chain record, and display discrepancies
7.1 The Interface is a visual representation of on-chain data. It renders animations, balances, results, odds, histories and other information by reading from the blockchain through RPC providers and other infrastructure, and it displays that information through your browser or device.
7.2 Like any software, the Interface can experience errors. These may include, without limitation: an animation that does not match the recorded result; a result that displays late, twice, or not at all; a balance or history that is stale or fails to refresh; a market, odd or payout displayed incorrectly; a transaction shown as pending when it has confirmed (or the reverse); or a Game that freezes, crashes or fails to load. Such errors can be caused by your device or browser, your network connection, RPC or indexing providers, blockchain congestion, caching, or bugs in the Interface itself.
7.3 The on-chain record is the sole authoritative record. Whatever the Interface shows, the wager you signed, the outcome generated by the Fairness Infrastructure and the settlement executed by the smart contract are what actually occurred, and they are what govern. A display error does not change an outcome, and no outcome can be altered on the basis of a display error.
7.4 Accordingly, the only kind of issue that can arise on chain.wtf is an issue with the visual representation. The underlying mathematics, outcome generation and settlement are performed on-chain, are always executed exactly as coded, and are not affected by anything that happens in the Interface. If the Interface and the blockchain ever disagree, the blockchain is correct.
7.5 If you believe the Interface displayed something inaccurately, contact support@chain.wtf (see Section 18). Support can help you locate and read the relevant on-chain record, investigate and fix Interface bugs, and explain how an outcome was generated. Support cannot change an outcome, reverse a settlement or issue a refund, because chain.wtf has no ability to do those things.
7.6 You must not place wagers in reliance on information displayed by the Interface that you know, or reasonably should know, to be erroneous — for example, an obviously incorrect odd or payout. chain.wtf has no liability for any loss arising from such reliance.
8. Wagers are final; no refunds
8.1 A wager is placed when the transaction you signed is confirmed on the Base blockchain. Until that point you have not placed a wager; from that point the wager is final.
8.2 Wagers cannot be refunded, cancelled, reversed or amended once confirmed — not by you, not by chain.wtf, and not by any third party. This applies regardless of the reason, including:
(a) mistakes by you (wrong amount, wrong selection, wrong Game, accidental click, misunderstanding of the rules);
(b) display errors of the kind described in Section 7;
(c) a change of mind;
(d) an outcome you consider unfavourable or unlikely;
(e) problems with your device, browser, wallet, network connection or RPC provider that occur after you have signed the transaction;
(f) the compromise of your wallet or keys; or
(g) blockchain congestion, delayed confirmation, or gas price fluctuation.
8.3 Where a smart contract for a particular Product includes coded logic that returns stakes in specified circumstances — for example, a sports market that is voided because the underlying event is cancelled, or a PvP match that does not fill — that return is an automated function of the Protocol operating according to its published rules. It is not a refund by chain.wtf, is not at chain.wtf's discretion, and cannot be triggered, prevented or modified by chain.wtf. The applicable rules for each Product are set out in Section 10 and on the Interface.
8.4 You are responsible for reviewing every transaction before you sign it. The amounts, selections and parameters shown in your wallet's signing prompt are what will be executed.
9. Fees, gas and digital assets
9.1 Interacting with the Protocol requires network transaction fees ("gas") to be paid to the Base blockchain. Gas is set by the network and is not received by chain.wtf.
9.2 chain.wtf currently sponsors gas for transactions submitted through the Interface, so that you are not charged network fees for placing wagers. Gas sponsorship is a courtesy, not a right. chain.wtf may, at its sole discretion and at any time, reduce, suspend or withdraw gas sponsorship — in whole or in part, for all users, for particular transaction types, wallets, jurisdictions or usage patterns, or in response to network conditions or abuse — in which case gas for the affected transactions is payable by you from your own wallet.
9.3 Where gas is payable by you, it is non-refundable, including for transactions that fail or revert. Where gas is sponsored by chain.wtf, sponsorship does not alter any other term of these Terms; in particular, a sponsored transaction is just as final and irreversible as any other, and sponsorship creates no custody, deposit or fiduciary relationship between you and chain.wtf.
9.4 The Interface will indicate, before you sign, whether a transaction is sponsored or whether gas will be charged to your wallet. You are responsible for holding sufficient assets to cover gas whenever it is payable by you.
9.5 The Protocol may charge protocol fees or apply a house edge on wagers, as encoded in the applicable smart contracts and disclosed on the Interface. By placing a wager you agree to the fees applicable to it.
9.6 Wagers are placed in the digital assets supported by the relevant smart contract. Digital assets are volatile and may lose some or all of their value. chain.wtf does not provide, control or guarantee any exchange rate, and any fiat-equivalent value shown on the Interface is indicative only.
9.7 chain.wtf does not offer fiat on-ramps, off-ramps, bridges or exchange services. Where the Interface links to such services, they are provided by third parties under their own terms (see Section 13).
10. Product-specific rules
10.1 Casino Games
(a) Each casino Game has rules, odds, payout tables and a house edge that are encoded in its smart contract and described on the Interface. By playing, you accept those rules.
(b) Outcomes are generated as described in Section 6. Any strategy, pattern or "system" you follow has no effect on the outcome-generation process.
(c) Games may impose minimum and maximum wager sizes, which may vary dynamically based on the Protocol's risk parameters. The limits enforced by the smart contract at the time of your transaction are the limits that apply.
10.2 Sportsbook
(a) Sports markets are settled according to the result of the underlying event as determined by the resolution source specified for that market and reported to the Protocol through the oracle infrastructure.
(b) Markets may be voided in the circumstances set out in the sportsbook rules published on the Interface (for example, a cancelled, abandoned or postponed event beyond the specified window). Voided markets are handled by the smart contract's coded logic as described in Section 8.3.
(c) Odds and market availability may change at any time until your transaction confirms. The odds recorded on-chain at confirmation are the odds that apply.
(d) If an official result is changed by the governing body after the market has been settled on-chain, the on-chain settlement stands.
(e) You must not wager on any event in which you are a participant, official, or otherwise able to influence the outcome, or about which you hold material non-public information.
10.3 PvP Games
(a) In PvP Games you wager against one or more other users, not against chain.wtf or the Protocol. chain.wtf is not a party to any PvP wager and does not guarantee any counterparty's performance; the smart contract escrows each participant's stake and settles according to the outcome.
(b) Matchmaking, timing, forfeit, timeout and no-fill rules for each PvP Game are encoded in its smart contract and described on the Interface.
(c) Collusion between participants, use of multiple wallets to play against yourself, or any coordination intended to manipulate a PvP outcome or a related promotion is prohibited.
10.4 Prediction Markets
(a) Prediction markets resolve according to the resolution criteria and resolution source specified for each market at the time it is created, as reported to the Protocol through the oracle infrastructure.
(b) Resolution criteria are interpreted as written. It is your responsibility to read and understand them before participating. Ambiguities are resolved according to the dispute or resolution mechanism specified for that market, if any.
(c) chain.wtf does not determine, verify or guarantee the accuracy of any resolution source.
10.5 Liquidity provision
Where the Protocol allows users to supply liquidity to a smart contract vault or pool that backs wagers ("Liquidity"):
(a) supplying Liquidity is a transfer to a smart contract, not a deposit with chain.wtf; chain.wtf never holds it;
(b) Liquidity is at risk. It funds payouts to winning players and may decrease or be lost entirely. Past performance of any pool is not indicative of future results, and chain.wtf makes no representation as to any yield or return;
(c) withdrawals of Liquidity are governed by the smart contract's rules, which may include lock-ups, cooldowns, caps or other constraints; and
(d) any position or receipt token representing Liquidity is not a security, deposit, loan or investment contract issued by chain.wtf, and nothing on the Interface is investment advice.
10.6 Third-party Games
The Protocol may host Games developed by third parties using chain.wtf's software development kit. Such Games run on the same Fairness Infrastructure and are subject to the same on-chain verification, finality and no-refund principles. chain.wtf does not warrant the design, artwork or Interface behaviour of third-party Games.
11. Promotions and rewards
11.1 chain.wtf may from time to time offer promotions, rewards, leaderboards, races, rakeback, referral programs or similar benefits ("Promotions"). Each Promotion is subject to its own terms published on the Interface, which form part of these Terms.
11.2 Promotions are discretionary. chain.wtf may modify, suspend or withdraw any Promotion, and may withhold or reclaim rewards from any wallet that it reasonably believes has abused a Promotion — including through the use of multiple wallets, bots, collusion, or exploitation of an error.
11.3 Rewards distributed on-chain are subject to the same finality as any other transaction. Rewards that have not been claimed by the deadline stated in the applicable Promotion terms expire.
12. Prohibited conduct
12.1 You must not:
(a) use the Interface or the Protocol from a Restricted Jurisdiction, or in any way that is unlawful where you are;
(b) use assets that are the proceeds of crime, or use the Protocol to launder assets, finance terrorism or evade sanctions;
(c) use the Interface or Protocol on behalf of, or for the benefit of, any other person, or permit any other person to use your wallet;
(d) attempt to exploit any bug, vulnerability or unintended behaviour in the Interface, the smart contracts, the Fairness Infrastructure or any oracle — including by attempting to influence, predict, front-run or manipulate randomness or resolution data;
(e) use bots, scripts, scrapers or other automated means to interact with the Interface, or to gain an unfair advantage in any Game or Promotion, except where expressly permitted;
(f) create or control multiple wallets to circumvent limits, exclusions or eligibility requirements, or to abuse Promotions;
(g) collude with other users, or wager against yourself, in PvP Games or any other Product;
(h) interfere with the operation or security of the Interface, including by introducing malicious code, overloading infrastructure, or attempting unauthorised access;
(i) copy, modify, reverse engineer or create derivative works of the Interface, except as permitted by any open-source licence that applies to specific components or by mandatory law;
(j) misrepresent your identity, age, location or eligibility; or
(k) harass, abuse or threaten chain.wtf's team, contributors or other users.
12.2 If you become aware of a bug, vulnerability or exploit affecting the Interface or the Protocol, you must report it promptly to support@chain.wtf and must not exploit it.
13. Third-party services
13.1 Using the Interface and the Protocol depends on services that chain.wtf does not operate, including the Base blockchain, wallet software and wallet-as-a-service providers, RPC nodes and indexers, oracles and data providers, block explorers, bridges, exchanges and on-ramps. Each is governed by its own terms and is outside chain.wtf's control.
13.2 chain.wtf is not responsible for the availability, security, accuracy or performance of any third-party service, or for any loss arising from its use. Links to third-party services on the Interface are provided for convenience and are not endorsements.
14. Blockchain and protocol risks
14.1 You acknowledge and accept the following risks, which are inherent in using a blockchain-based protocol:
(a) Smart contract risk. Smart contracts may contain bugs or vulnerabilities and may behave in unintended ways. Audits reduce but do not eliminate this risk.
(b) Network risk. The Base blockchain and its underlying layers may experience congestion, outages, forks, reorganisations, upgrades or changes in fees that delay, fail or otherwise affect your transactions.
(c) Wallet and key risk. Loss or compromise of your keys results in permanent loss of access to your assets. Transactions cannot be reversed.
(d) Oracle and infrastructure risk. Randomness and resolution data are supplied through oracle infrastructure that may be delayed, unavailable or, despite safeguards, compromised.
(e) Asset risk. Digital assets are volatile, may lose all value, and may become illiquid or unsupported.
(f) Regulatory risk. The legal treatment of digital assets and on-chain wagering is uncertain and may change, and such changes may adversely affect the Interface, the Protocol or your ability to use them.
(g) Irreversibility. Everything described in these Terms as final is final because of how blockchains work, not because of a policy choice by chain.wtf.
14.2 You are solely responsible for evaluating these risks and for any loss resulting from them.
15. Responsible gambling
15.1 Wagering involves risk of loss and can become harmful. Only wager what you can afford to lose. Never wager to recover losses, while impaired, or as a source of income.
15.2 Where the Interface provides responsible-gambling tools (such as wager limits, session reminders, cooling-off periods or self-exclusion), you may use them at any time. Because chain.wtf does not hold funds or accounts, these tools operate at the Interface level — they restrict what the Interface will show or allow for your wallet, and they may not be technically capable of preventing direct interaction with the smart contracts. A self-exclusion request submitted to support@chain.wtf will be honoured at the Interface level for the period requested.
15.3 If you are concerned about your gambling or someone else's, help is available from organisations such as Gamblers Anonymous (gamblersanonymous.org), Gambling Therapy (gamblingtherapy.org) and GambleAware (gambleaware.org), among others.
16. Intellectual property
16.1 The chain.wtf name, logos, mascots, Game artwork, designs, sounds, text and other content of the Interface (the "Content") are owned by chain.wtf or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly display or create derivative works of the Content.
16.2 Certain components of the Protocol or Interface may be released under open-source licences. Those licences govern your use of those components. Nothing in these Terms limits rights granted by them.
16.3 chain.wtf grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Interface for its intended purpose in accordance with these Terms.
16.4 If you submit feedback, suggestions or ideas to chain.wtf, you grant chain.wtf a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use them without restriction or compensation.
17. Access restriction and termination
17.1 chain.wtf may, at its sole discretion and without notice, restrict, suspend or terminate your access to the Interface — including by blocking specific wallet addresses, IP ranges or jurisdictions — if we believe you have breached these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Interface, the Protocol or other users.
17.2 Restricting Interface access does not, and cannot, affect assets in your wallet, because chain.wtf does not hold them. It also does not affect any open wager, which will settle on-chain according to the smart contract regardless of your access to the Interface.
17.3 You may stop using the Interface at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive (including Sections 5, 7, 8, 14, 19, 20, 21 and 22) survive any termination.
18. Support
18.1 For any question or issue, contact support@chain.wtf. This is the sole official support channel. chain.wtf's team will never contact you first to request a signature, transaction, seed phrase or private key; treat any such request as fraudulent.
18.2 Support can: help you locate and interpret the on-chain record of any wager; explain how an outcome was generated and how to verify it; investigate and correct Interface bugs; assist with Interface-level responsible-gambling tools; and answer questions about Games and Promotions.
18.3 Support cannot: alter, reverse, re-roll or void any outcome; refund, cancel or amend any wager; access, move, freeze or recover any assets; or reverse any blockchain transaction. These are not policy limitations; they are technical impossibilities under a self-custodial protocol.
18.4 If you raise a dispute about an outcome, chain.wtf will resolve it by reference to the on-chain record, which is final and binding on both you and chain.wtf.
19. Disclaimers
19.1 THE INTERFACE, THE PROTOCOL, THE FAIRNESS INFRASTRUCTURE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
19.2 chain.wtf does not warrant that the Interface will be error-free, that displayed information will always be accurate or current, that the Protocol will be available at any given time, or that defects will be corrected.
19.3 Nothing on the Interface is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. chain.wtf is not a financial institution, broker, exchange, custodian or adviser.
20. Limitation of liability
20.1 TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CHAIN.WTF AND ITS CONTRIBUTORS, TEAM MEMBERS, AFFILIATES, LICENSORS AND SERVICE PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL OR DIGITAL ASSETS, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS, THE INTERFACE OR THE PROTOCOL, HOWEVER CAUSED AND UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
20.2 WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, CHAIN.WTF SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM: WAGERS YOU PLACE; DISPLAY DISCREPANCIES OF THE KIND DESCRIBED IN SECTION 7; THE ACTS OR OMISSIONS OF ANY THIRD-PARTY SERVICE; THE BASE BLOCKCHAIN OR ANY OTHER NETWORK; SMART CONTRACT VULNERABILITIES OR EXPLOITS; ORACLE FAILURE; LOSS OR COMPROMISE OF YOUR WALLET OR KEYS; OR CHANGES IN THE VALUE OF DIGITAL ASSETS.
20.3 TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF CHAIN.WTF FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS, THE INTERFACE OR THE PROTOCOL SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE PROTOCOL FEES ACTUALLY RECEIVED BY CHAIN.WTF FROM YOUR WAGERS IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM AND (B) ONE HUNDRED UNITED STATES DOLLARS (USD 100).
20.4 Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In those jurisdictions, the exclusions and limitations above apply to the fullest extent permitted, and nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
21. Indemnification
21.1 You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless chain.wtf and its contributors, team members, affiliates, licensors and service providers from and against all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the Interface or the Protocol; (b) your breach of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party; or (d) any inaccurate representation you make regarding your eligibility.
22. Governing law and dispute resolution
22.1 These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter, are governed by the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
22.2 Before initiating any formal proceeding, you agree to first contact support@chain.wtf and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for a period of at least thirty (30) days.
22.3 Any dispute that is not resolved informally under Section 22.2 shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of San José, Republic of Costa Rica. You irrevocably waive any objection to venue in those courts and any claim that they are an inconvenient forum. Nothing in this Section prevents chain.wtf from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property or the integrity of the Interface or the Protocol.
22.4 To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree that any dispute will be resolved on an individual basis and that you will not bring or participate in any class, collective or representative action.
22.5 Any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms must be brought within one (1) year after the cause of action arises, failing which it is permanently barred.
23. Taxes
23.1 You are solely responsible for determining what, if any, taxes apply to your wagers, winnings, rewards, Liquidity returns or other activity on the Protocol, and for reporting and paying them. chain.wtf does not withhold taxes, issue tax documents or provide tax advice.
24. Privacy
24.1 chain.wtf's collection and use of information in connection with the Interface is described in the Privacy Policy published on the Interface. Blockchain transactions are public by design: your wallet address and all transactions associated with it are permanently visible to anyone. chain.wtf does not control the blockchain and cannot delete or alter on-chain data.
25. General
25.1 Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Additional Terms, are the entire agreement between you and chain.wtf regarding the Interface and the Protocol and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
25.2 Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the remaining provisions remain in full force.
25.3 No waiver. chain.wtf's failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of its right to enforce it later.
25.4 Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights under them. chain.wtf may assign these Terms without restriction.
25.5 No relationship. Nothing in these Terms creates any partnership, joint venture, agency, fiduciary or employment relationship between you and chain.wtf.
25.6 No third-party beneficiaries. Except as expressly provided (including in Sections 20 and 21), these Terms confer no rights on any third party.
25.7 Force majeure. chain.wtf is not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including blockchain network failures, third-party infrastructure outages, cyberattacks, changes in law, or acts of government.
25.8 Headings and summary. Headings and the non-binding summary at the top of these Terms are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
25.9 Contact. support@chain.wtf
